30 Day College Challenge: Day TWENTY-SEVEN

Tell us about your worst experience from your college years.

Worst experiences? I’ll go in order from freshman year onward…

  • Feeling like I was used because I wanted a real relationship and the guy wanted to be FWB.
  • Being stood up for the first and second time… AND by a different guy each time.
  • Getting my heart broken.
  • Losing people I thought were my friends when I lost my ex (cause they were one-sided).
  • Having the shittiest 19th birthday.
  • Being so depressed because I feel like I’m alone at college.

This list can go on and on and on…

I’ve had A LOT of bad experiences in college.

30 Day College Challenge: Day TWENTY-SIX

What is something non-academic that you’ve learned at college?

Something non-academic? Hmm…

  • There is still high-school-like drama in college.
  • You can’t trust everyone.
  • Most of the people are one-sided idiots.
  • You grow A LOT - mentally - in college.

This list can go on…

30 Day College Challenge: Day TWENTY-FIVE

Which did you enjoy more: high school or college?

COLLEGE.

The only thing I miss about high school was that the work was easier. THAT IS ALL.

30 Day College Challenge: Day TWENTY-FOUR

Tell us about something interesting/funny that’s happened during class.

I’ve slept during class. Does that count?

Speaking of sleeping in class… This one guy fell asleep in Philosophy class once. He started snoring.

A lot of funny things happen in class. I tweet most of it. I can’t recall everything… WHOMP WHOMP.

30 Day College Challenge: Day TWENTY-THREE

Post a picture of yourself that encapsulates your college experience so far.

How about a couple of pictures?

30 Day College Challenge: Day TWENTY-TWO

Tell us about your least favorite professor.

So far, my favorite professor would have to be Dr. Czermak. I had her for Pharmacology and Pathophysiology and I. DIDN’T. LEARN. A. THING. SERIOUSLY! I hate her. She was the most boring professor ever. All she did was read from PowerPoint slides and make corny ass jokes sometimes. All I did in her class was sleep. Staying awake was NOT going to help me. I didn’t learn a thing from her! >_<

30 Day College Challenge: Day TWENTY-ONE

Tell us about your favorite professor.

So far, my favorite professor would have to be Dr. Lega. She’s a professor for the psychology classes I’ve been taking for my minor. She’s AMAZING. She’s weird and funny. She makes her classes lively. Trust me. I fall asleep easily in classes, but with her? You could be yawning your ass off but then she does something to capture your attention. She is DEFINITELY my favorite professor thus far.

30 Day College Challenge: Day TWENTY

What has been the toughest class you’ve taken so far? Are there any classes that you are not looking forward to?

The toughest class I’ve taken so far? Any nursing class (but not all of my nursing classes). Let me lay it out for you:

FRESHMAN YEAR:

  • Fall Semester - I took Introduction to Professional Nursing. That was easy.

SOPHOMORE YEAR:

  • Fall Semester - I took Theoretical Foundations of Nursing. That was a slight challenge.
  • Spring Semester - I took Nutrition and Health, Pharmacology for Professional Nursing Practice, and my first clinicals course: Clinical Bases of Professional Nursing. Nutrition was fairly simply but still a challenge. Pharmacology was a HUGE challenge, but I still managed to pass. Clinicals was slight challenge, but it was CAKE.

JUNIOR YEAR:

  • Fall Semester (ROUND ONE) - I SUCCESSFULLY took Pathophysiology and Health Assessment.  Pathophysiology was a HUGE challenge, but I still managed to pass. Health Assessment was a challenge. I even had to retake my head-to-toe assessment because I failed it the first time. Eventhough it was a challenge, I still managed to pass.

“SUPER JUNIOR” YEAR:

  • Fall Semester (ROUND TWO) - I SUCCESSFULLY took Nursing Care of Adults and Aging I. It was a HUGE challenge for me. (It’s the reason why I’m in a “super junior” year.) I busted my ass so hard and it paid off.  This class was my HIGHEST grade ever in nursing: an A-! WOOT WOOT!

UPCOMING CHALLENGES:

I think all of my nursing classes from now on will be challenges. I have to bust my ass this spring semester. This semester (which began on Wednesday [1/18]), I am taking Nursing Care of Adults and Aging II and Nursing Care of Child-Bearing Families. I especially want to bust my ass (yes, I said “want to bust my ass”) in Nursing Care of Child-Bearing Families (aka Maternity) because it is one of the areas in nursing I’m thinking of specializing in.

If I can make it past Nursing Care of Adults and Aging II and Nursing Care of Child-Bearing Families  this semester, I can go onto take all of my fall semester, senior year nursing classes: Computer Applications in Nursing and Health CareIntroduction to Nursing ResearchPsych-Mental Health Nursing, and Nursing Care of Children & Adolescents (another area I’m thinking of specializing in).  AND THEN… if I can make it past those 4 classes, I can go onto my spring semester, senior year nursing classes: Social Justice, Ethics and Health CareCommunity Health NursingNursing Care of Adults & Aging III; and Leadership & Trends in Nursing.

PRAY FOR ME!
